    Is it true that all dogs go to Heaven ?

    Or is heaven reserved only for human animals. If so, then where do dead dogs go ?

    I'll share a little story about a dog I once owned. Just to let you know I now own 2 border collies, both I consider to be my best friends and family (yes I'm an avid dog lover). I left home at age 15 and had to leave my dog with my mother. Very sad and upsetting. It had been a number of years with numerous visits home to see family, including the dog :)

    Cut a long story short, I had a very lucid dream one night whereby I was out lying under the trailer with my dog, as I used to do when I lived at home as a young teenager. Strangely my dog began to 'talk' to me explaining that no matter what everything was going to be allright. The dog kept assuring me things were fine and all was ok. Strange yes ... dream ended.

    Two days later when I called my mother for our sunday chat (cheap time) we had a long chat about things and when it was time to say goodbye, she mentioned she had some bad news. 2 days earlier (when I had the dream) my dog had finally passed away due to old age. Needless to say I was dumbfounded and also felt some sense of calm and ease.

    I'll let you make of this what you will but it is a true story. I think I know where dogs go when they die :)

    That's a touching story Marglarg. Kinda makes you stop and think that maybe we really don't understand this reality we find ourselves in.

    Read in the thread dutchie's cat about my experiences with my cat. If anyone is an agnostic, it's me. Weird things happen. But it still could just be a dream.
