http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/mobile/wor...-east-12888421They could be the earliest Christian writing in existence, surviving almost 2,000 years in a Jordanian cave. They could, just possibly, change our understanding of how Jesus was crucified and resurrected, and how Christianity was born.
A group of 70 or so "books", each with between five and 15 lead leaves bound by lead rings, was apparently discovered in a remote arid valley in northern Jordan somewhere between 2005 and 2007.
Could prove interesting/damaging... delete as per inclination.

the israelis have them. they will never see the light of day, and any "translation" will be censured (read ALTERED). nobody will ever know what was really written on them.

Actually it makes no such reference. It mentions sealed scrolls, but not books. The only other possible reference is:The Book of Revelation refers to such sealed texts.

Man I hope this is legitimately early Christian works. How fascinating if so.

After all, the Bible as we know it was put together by MEN. It was not handed to us from on High by God. King James' council, the council of Nicaea, etc are what have given us today's Bible. How do you know mankind did it correctly?
