A classic Stanley Kubrick flick with a tour-de-force performance by Peter Sellers. His Kissinger in a wheel chair is hilarious and sobering at the same time, as is the whole film.
How's the scene where the president, also played by Sellers, tries to convince the Russian premier that he's as sorry as he is about the situation.LOL!
George C. Scott has a few choice scenes too.

It seems that we are now more likely to do ourselves in with 'peaceful' nuclear power, rather than a bomb drop! :)

i knew about the film, and even read the script at some point, but never did really cross to get to see it. i knew it was James Earl Jones first movie.

the pilot's shout riding the bomb gives the goose bumps, and then followed by that closing song, and all the goose-bump likenesses of the atomic explosions at end is pretty tripped-out.
