I want to do some kicking
Considering this is the 'Religion' forum, there don't seem to be many religions, cults and sects etc being discussed, just mainstream Christianity.
Any Muslims here? Hindus, Bahais, Jains, Harry Krishnas, Jews, Buddhists, Mormons, JW's, Rapturists etc etc?
I want to give you all a good kicking so get in here and let's duke it out!
You're as good as whupped already for the simple reason that-
Islam - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
Judaism - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
Sikhism - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
Buddhism - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
Hinduism - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it

Cao Dai - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
Tenrikyo - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
New Age - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it
Unitarian - doesn't have Jesus the Son of God in it

Jewism doesn't recognise christ at all and even beyond 1000ad rabbis were applauding his murder. Christians couldn't care less. They've decided it was "god's will".
and at least in islam christ is revered as a prophet.

Anarch quotes- "Islam,Judaism,Buddhism,Hinduism,Spiritism have Jesus the Son of God in them"
Firstly how can Buddhism have Jesus in it considering Buddha died 500 years before Jesus was born?
Same with Judaism, it stops with the Old T and rejects Jesus and the New T completely.
As for Spiritism they might hijack Jesus's name to try to give authority to their claptrap, but the Bible forbids spiritism outright.
And if Hindus follow Jesus, why are they Hindus and not Christians? And where is Jesus mentioned in their scriptures?
Regarding Islam, the Koran mentions Jesus, but badmouths him by saying he wasn't the son of God.
In other words only Christianity has Jesus at its heart as the recognised Son of God like a powerful nuclear core, and the rest are just damp squibs..:)

And now you know why the other religions don't participate. Why should they? There is no one to talk to. As a Christian I do have a question: If only Christianity has Jesus at its heart as the recognised Son of God like a powerful nuclear core, who is the recognizer? Is it the American council of Board approved saviors? Isn't Jeebus really a political figure? You know, he died on the cross, rose from the dead, and will soon(this time we really mean it!) come back to lower the corporate tax rate and eliminate the capital gains on stocks? The Jesus of the bible bears no resemblance to the Jeebus of the conservative party of the US.
Jesus was about forgiveness
we're not.
Jesus said pay your taxes.
we say; wha-a-at?
Jesus said: Pray in your closet.
we have nationally televised "prayer breakfast".
Jesus whipped the moneychangers(Bankers)
we gave them 2 trillion dollars.
Jesus said: feed the poor, heal the sick, comfort the bereaved, visit the prisoner.
we say: cut those welfare bums off, pay the insurance, let em die, and throw away the key.
Nobody wants to talk about religion in this country or this website because there's nothing to talk about. There is no religion in this country, and the ones who do take it seriously, don't waste their time debating it. Look, cheesemaker, you want to tell me Jesus died and rose from the dead and very soon, he's coming to get me, fine. There isn't a soul out there who really believes it, based on their behavior at least. But the point of Christianity has never been about Jesus, it is and always has been about forgiveness.

When you say "we", you mean The Herd mate, but christianity is all about NOT running with the herd because it won't do them a bit of good if they're all going up the spout together..:)
Rather, it's only our own personal one-on-one relationship with Jesus that counts-
"Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philip 2:12 KJV)

The OP is forgetting that knowledge about God (the one true God of the OT) was very selective as far as the world population goes. If only Israel knew about God before the Gospel was taken to the various other parts of the world for the very first time. Most on the list not knowing would just seem to confirm that God actually exists as they were not supposed to know.
As for Judaism not knowing that is false, they probably got the meaning of the verse below wrong, although I'm not sure how that could happen, ... really, ... it seems to be quite straight forward.
Proverb.30:4
Who hath ascended up into heaven,
or descended?
who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
who hath bound the waters in a garment?
who hath established all the ends of the earth?
what is his name,
and what is his son's name,
if thou canst tell?

The OT God and the NT God are the same, it's just that he had to package himself as a harsh no-nonsense father to the early thickheaded Jews to get their attention and respect.
Sure, he could have spoken to other racial groups, but he chose the Jews because he had to start somewhere.
In the same way Riker had to punch Klingon first officer Klag in the guts and throw him across the bridge of the Pagh on an exchange visit to get the respect of him and the rest of the crew.
Later, when God felt Jews and humans in general were slightly less primitive, he sent them Jesus to give a softer package to everybody on the planet like Jesus said-
"I didn't come to judge the world, but to save it."(John 12:47)
Right Klag?
"Grrrr..."

Look at it another way- Jesus is the Christian Gang leader and christians are his gang members, how kool is that?..:)
They REJECT the world but not a lot of people have the courage to do that, and therefore remain controlled and imprisoned by the World, check it-
Jesus said:- "The world wants you to dance to its tune......God has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners......to release the oppressed" (Matt 11:16/17,Luke 4:18 )
"Jesus saved you from the empty way of life handed you by your forefathers" (1 Pet 1:18 )
"Don't conform to the pattern of this world" (Rom 12:2)
"As a soldier of Christ, please only God and not the world" (2 Tim 2:3/4)
"Don't love the world or the things in it,otherwise the love of God is not in you" (1 John 2:15-17)
"You were bought at a price, don't serve men" (1 Cor 7:23)
"A friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4)
"You died with Christ from this world, so don't keep submitting to its rules" (Col 2:20)
"You were dead when you followed the ways of the world" (Eph 2:1/2)
(2 Cor 4:18)"

Not kool at all actually. I believe that the idea that there ARE christians is a myth. Ive never actually met one, that follows the teachings of christ, not one. Your metaphor is accurate as christians tend to behave like the crips vs. the bloods, and I have seen the grafiti along the highway, an eyesore at best.
PS. you didn't address the issue: there is no one here for them to talk to because it takes two to have a conversation.

You still don't understand that Christianity was not started by Jesus. The chosen ones who came after Jesus were called saints once God changed their flesh to be sinless.
The Romans killed all the saints by the early fourth century and they're the culprits who started the Roman Catholic church by the first pope, Constantine. Constantine was a Roman leader who was commissioned to find a way to deceive the followers of the saints and Christianity was his idea that worked. Not one Christian has ever been a sinless saint who preached the true gospel.
Christians were given a false gospel by the Romans to help sign up lots of new Christians so they could give tithes and offerings to the Vatican and make them wealthy. Tithes and offerings has nothing to do with Jesus and us saints preaching the true gospel. The saints never built church buildings or filled them with idols and altars like the Romans did in their Christian churches.
Not one religion on earth has anything to do with us saints and messiah.I am the way, the truth and the light of life. There is no other God besides me.

Yes, true christians are as rare as an ice cube in the Sahara, Jesus said so, and I myself only know of about half a dozen.
The vast majority of so-called 'christians' are huge armies of oddballs and crackpots and if they're going to be in heaven I swear I don't want to go.
As regards conversations with Jesus-rejecters there's nothing I'd like better than for them to come in here so I can slap them around, but they're either too chicken to face me, or else they're afraid to leave the comfort zone of whatever screwball forum they inhabit with their cronies, all stewing in their own spiritually-perverted juice..;)
As I've said before, a demon once squawked through the mouth of a possessed woman in another forum to warn its demonic mates- "Waymarker's a tough nut to crack folks, don't mess with that one", so maybe the words out in internet land that I'm on the prowl and will have 'em for breakfast..;)

I bet you, Brahman and his kid are proud of yourselves mate-
Hinduisms vile caste system preaches that all people are not created equal and that some must stay in the gutter. This National Geographic article spells it out -
http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0306/feature1/
(Excerpt) - "Discrimination against India's lowest Hindu castes is technically illegal. But try telling that to the 160 million Untouchables, who face violent reprisals if they forget their place"

What a difference to glorious Christianity -
"[God] raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory:" (1 Sam 2:8 KJV)
PS- and even the 'great' Mahatma Gandhi allowed the caste system to go on, huh!
Righto, i've just demolished Hinduism, somebody wheel on the next contender in line for a good kicking..:)

dats ok waywasted- you will revel in your idiot perceived and meaningless victories regardless so njoy you're delusions.
LOL. In keeping with the thread title - WHAT A HOOT. You couldn't kick your own ass out of an open paper bag."Waymarker's a tough nut to crack folks, don't mess with that one", so maybe the words out in internet land that I'm on the prowl and will have 'em for breakfast..;)
Glorious Christianity you say?
neither Jesus nor his daddy had nary a disapproving word against human slavery - apparently daddy was down with it all so long as idols weren't worshiped in his stead n u don't covet ure neighbors ass, wife or oxen.

how for all practical purposes and intent is a chaste system so different from human slavery. Both states of being r inherently subversive, oppressive and dehumanizing.
just curious, when was official "slavery" outlawed in your country. did all ure good, solid true christian pillar families of civilized society go to civil war to preserve it?Last edited by Lillith; Jul 1st, 2011 at 11:01 PM.

The caste system was adopted into the Hindu faith. It is not intrinsically Hindu, and if I'm not mistaken, a form of it predates hinduism.
In fact, I would compare the caste system to feudalism, where serfs were of lower class and essentially slaves to lords in Christian Europe.
Even after feudalism was discontinued, slavery continued, as Lilith said.
If your aim is to make it appear as though "Christianity" is superior to every religion, you are going to have a tough time of it.
However, you has said that the intrinsic flaw of these religions was the lack of a "son of God." Well, Hinduism has a son of God (Hindu God Brahman, comprised of the trinity of Vishnu, Siva, and Brahma).
Taaahhhhn.
