West Memphis 3
Reuters:
Surprise court hearing for "West Memphis 3" spurs hopes
A DNA report failed to link the 3 to the murders.A judge has called a surprise hearing for Friday concerning three men - known as the West Memphis Three - convicted of "satanic" killings in 1993 of three 8-year-old Cub Scouts in Arkansas.
The announcement on Thursday fueled speculation among supporters that the hearing could mean good news - including a new trial and possible release from prison - for those who believe the men were wrongly convicted...
Weird case- I bet the stepfather did it.
Here is a case synopsis, and here is the WIKI where I found it."The Alice-in-Wonderland nature of this pronouncement is not lost on me..."

Glad to hear that news brief.
After watching the document. film of those 3 dudes, never did believe they
actually did what they were convicted of.
Thought it was a major witch hunt, still do.

Another near example of why we need to do away with the death penalty... When these three were convicted there were a lot of people calling for their swift execution...

I agree, the death penalty as it is currently administered is not right, and needs to be totally abolished except for cases of serial killers like Dahmer and Gacy..

It only takes you half your adult life to defend yourself from corrupt over zealous criminal justice system. I'm still fucking pissed off from that other post. I hate the our criminal justice system.

ourselves."~Abraham Lincoln

Well then sin no more, because Yahweh has a plan to turn the court system on its own head. The Lord promises, vengeance is mine and this begins today systematically as first the dollar collapses. Without money in place to feed this court system all law and order is off the table.
The modern day Saddusees and Pharisees, have only become the new politicians and crime syndicate brotherhood of the judicial branch of the entire United States Government.
The only type of person that goes after this type of job is an egotystical sleazebag, who lusts for money. No one wakes up some day and says it is my first duty to judge my fellow man. But only a snake would profit from it.
This sickens me that we must pay a judge made of mere mortal man money to judge our mistakes in life. The rule of codeified law shall come to its end and there shall exist two choices us or them.
Through disobedience comes a new learning which only the righteous will understand and with their mark it shall be used against them in a real court of law of higher standards.
Yahweh himself has spoken this.
Uncle Sam is a two bit coward - always taking money from his brother's kids and telling them he wants them to join his Army.

Especially judging from the very flimsy evidence, the death penalty shouldn't be applied or considered... too many guesses and questions. Now these men have had half their lives stolen from them- and anybody think they'll be reimbursed? Well how can you reimburse decades of being in prison or on death row?
Yeah- when there is not a shadow of a doubt, as when there is a confession with evidence or you find them at the dinner table with a knife and a fork sitting over a plate of fingers and toes, with several hacked bodies in your freezer and canned in the pantry... pictures and letters and whatever.

They're out!
NY Times
...A district court judge declared that the three men — Damien W. Echols, 36, Jason Baldwin, 34, and Jessie Misskelley Jr., 36, known as the West Memphis Three — who have been in prison since their arrest in 1993, had served the time for their crime. The judge also levied a 10-year suspended sentence on each of the men.
With his release Friday, Mr. Echols became the highest-profile death row inmate to be released in recent memory.
The agreement, known as an Alford plea, does not result in a full exoneration; some of the convictions stand, though the men did not admit guilt. The deal came five months before a scheduled hearing was to be held to determine whether the men should be granted a new trial in light of DNA evidence that surfaced in the past few years. None of their DNA has been found in tests of evidence at the scene. The Arkansas Supreme Court ordered the new hearing in November, giving new life to efforts to exonerate the three men...Last edited by Nu Kua; Aug 19th, 2011 at 1:38 PM.
