How CHEAP are Americans
How CHEAP are Americans
Everyone in America is First an individual
Jerks get elected to Government positions.
Here is the Deal: Freedom is NOT Free
but it really is Free for 90 to 95% of Americans
as only 5 to 10% Serve this Country in the Military.
So I don't know what a Spouse gets of a Guy
that dies in action for this Country
but I'm guessing it's Not much.
Here is what I would give as I'm a Person of Courage
and Not One of the 225,000,000 American Cowards.
She pays No more Income Tax for the Rest of Her Life.
She married that guy as that was her soulmate
and her soulmate gets taken from her
because the Assholes in Government
have to have these guys in those foreign countries
helping the Locals.
But like I already stated TORTURE would put an
End to Terrorism just give it a chance.
There is No Human Being on Earth
that would want to experience Torture
for the next few years or so.
Every day like Clockwork.
I'm sure itt would be easy to find the people
to do the Torture on those Terrorists.
I'll do some research and inform you what
currently a Surving Spouse would be entitled to.

Firstly, jerks voted the jerks into office, so the voters are responsible..:) (we have the same prob in Britain)
"Which is the greater fool, the fool or the fool who follows him?"- Obi-Wan Kenobi
Secondly, one way to defeat terrorism is to give them what they want.
It sticks in the muslim worlds craw real bad that Israel stole Palestine off the Palestinians in the 1967 Six-Day War, aided and abetted by American tanks and aircraft.
And ever since, America has been pumping cash into Israel to prop them up, thereby making America a terrorist target as "Israels friend".
Why don't the great American people wake up and start saying "Why the hell have our politicians supported Israel for so long? What the hell has Israel ever done for us? Let's press for a NATO directive to make Israel pull out of Palestine!"

I say put everything on the Ballot and Vote on it.
Should we provide support for Israel ? Yes ? NO !
That would be the American Way.
I was wrong for a change this time.
I guess I'm wrong 1 out of 100 times.
I thought the surviving member the wife/husband of a Person Killed In Action
got little or nothing. But they get about $20,000/year if they have 2 kids.
Veteran's Death Was On or After January 1, 1993
Effective 12/1/08
Basic Monthly Rate = $1154 (38 U.S.C. 1311(a)(1))
Additional Allowances:
a. Add $246 if at the time of the veteran's death,
the veteran was in receipt of or entitled to receive compensation
for a service-connected disability rated totally disabling
(including a rating based on individual unemployability)
for a continuous period of at least 8 years immediately
preceding death AND the surviving spouse was married to
the veteran for those same 8 years. (38 U.S.C. 1311(a)(2))
b. Add the following allowance for each dependent child under age 18: *
Effective 12/1/08 $286 per child (38 U.S.C. 1311(b))
c. If the surviving spouse is entitled to A&A, add $286. (38 U.S.C. 1311(c))
d. If the surviving spouse is entitled to Housebound, add $135 (38 U.S.C. 1311(d))
*DIC apportionment rates approved by the Under Secretary for Benefits
under 38 CFR 3.461(b) will be the additional allowance received for each child.
http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/rates/comp03.htm
So does the Person have to Pay Income Tax on this Amount ?
Say a Parent & 2 Kids.
$1154.00
$ 572.00 ($286 times 2)
Total $1726.00
Times 12
Yearly $20,712
This site gives a different figure:
Effective December 1, 2003, DIC payments to all surviving spouses are
at the monthly rate of $967, adjusted annually for cost of living.
If you are rated as totally disabled as a result of a service-connected
disability for at least eight continuous years preceding death,
your spouse is entitled to an additional $208.
An additional $241 is payable for each dependent child.
DIC and Taxes:
DIC payments are exempt from Federal and state income tax,
which gives the surviving spouse more "take home" income.
http://militarypay.defense.gov/survi..._benefits.html
This one would be a few Thousand less.
So which one is Correct ?
Maybe the 2nd one is 2003 figures ?
So is $20,000 good for the Surviving Spouse ?
That would be about the same as a person making almost $30,000/year.
I am surprised as I thought they didn’t get that much.
I guess that is a somewhat Righteous amount.
