Power cuts- A Taste of Armageddon
Has anybody here suffered a power cut? How did you take it?
I went through one after dark some years ago, it lasted about an hour and I've never forgotten it, I mean one second you're in your warm heated well-lit home watching TV, and the next you're back in the stone age with no light or heating, no TV, no way of making a cup of tea or a meal, fumblimg around by torchlight like a caveman, and outside there's just pitch blackness, not a glimmer of light to be seen anywhere..
I won't say it was a life-changing event, but it certainly brought home to me how we're just a whisker away from the stone age in the blink of an eye..

You are still a cave man in the stone age so natch, your temporary, short live black out was NOT a life changing event. Wake up.
Psst. You're just dreaming about having a TV, electric lighting and heat.Galadriel: "I amar prestar aen. Han mathon ne nen. Han mathon ne chae. A han noston ne 'wilith. "Translation: "The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air."

Lily darling can I count on you to come over and give me a little cuddle if it happens again? (sniffle)
