Looking For Graphic Artist(s)
I am currently looking to make a connection with a budding graphic artist (or a handful of artists) interested in producing album art and logo work for an independent record label. I need someone I can work with capable of taking ideas I send and not only producing the requested work but adding a little flavor to it. Currently there is no financial payout involved, strictly volunteer work. However, I can guarantee the artist (or artists) will receive full credit for all work and the art will be used in a number of public venues, which hopefully will give the artist some recognition.
I can also promise that the artwork will never be sold directly or indirectly, always attached to something free for download. For example, I am particularly interested in having someone work up a logo for the independent label, a label that helps support new and budding artists without selling songs or records.
I am interested in artists capable of photo manipulation and also original concepts, which must be provided digitally. For any interested but dubious about copyright legalities, I am also willing to help each artist ensure their work is protected before being delivered into my hands.
If you are interested, please do not respond to this thread with portfolio work. It will only get messy. I would prefer interested parties contact me via PM, and then we will work from there to provide me with a portfolio. This thread, however, can be used for potentials to ask questions about what I want as long as they are not specific to a particular project. General questions are permitted, but please do not submit artwork in this thread!
I can make no promises as to how the art will be use or received. On the other hand, I will guarantee that every artist will know when and how designs will be used before they are used. Also, I cannot promise global recognition for any artist's work, but I certainly will ensure that every artist used will receive credit. If any of you are students in an art school or program, I am sure any work delivered to me can legitimately go in your portfolio, and if there is ever a question regarding the use of any work, I will personally contact your instructor to help make sure you get school credit.

Questions...
IS this a paying gig?
Are married to the talent coming from here?
I know of a few talented...HIGHLY talented individuals but they stick to amkon. and they would want to be paid...no pro bono.
Last question
Have you considered asking david Thorne at 24bslash6 ?
It probably wouldn't go well but it would be hilarious and he is a professional.Jim Crow America relegated Blacks to the back of buses. Israel wants Arabs excluded from the bus entirely.

Does it have to be digital art?

Maybe you missed it.
No, this is not a paying gig, at least not monetarily.
I know you're being facetious, but there may come a time where someone wants something that simplistic, an actual piece of work drawn with crayon, as opposed to someone attempting to digitally mimic it.

I am nearly completed my graphic design course. I am versed in photoshop, illustrator and indesign - further, we studied corporate branding, which includes logo design. I would be happy to collaborate with you on crafting a unique logo!

I can send you a PDF of my portfolio if you like - pm me."Gravity is a contributing factor in nearly 73 percent of all accidents involving falling objects"~ Dave Barry
