What would you be grabbing in the last 24 hours?

SHTF scenario and you have all the stuff you need but you have 24 hours warning so you have a chance to lets say requisition some extra stuff while most people are desperately trying to get food/water ect

remember you dont have to pay for it because there is only 24 hours left and after that money will be meaningless
so think big what are you going to requisition?

I would be trying to get ahold of a larger dual axle trailer and more gas cans. My food, guns, ammo, water, and gas as are well as can be planned for in an urban area. I wish I had the ability to get a 500 or 1000 gallon gas tank buried beneath my garage, but can't and won't try now. Getting the NATO fuel cans is the way to go, as 20 Liters of fuel can get my tank about 1/3 the way filled up, meaning I could have enough gas on hand to get roughly 1000 miles on 8 cans.

stuff you dont normally have access too but you can get either because no longer been watched with only 24 hours or you can take by force

Somebody was explaining to me how vital it was to carry-along cameras so they could document everything, even though the extra-weight of batteries, etc. would be a chore. I'd possibly only be inclined to do that if I'd established an HQ, then 'found' a working cam/vid-pack somewhere. Documentation has an importance...

I love the camara idea, when I landed in snowy Bristol last November I filmed the entire landing to back up the black box. My Aunt was not too happy with my attitude though.

I suppose I might loot myself some ciggies and alcohol for currency and a huge supply of lighters and rizlas for myself.

What a Chav you sound like, Tsunami. Why loot anything? Stock up on that shit now or learn how to make your own booze, and then you might risk not getting killed trying to loot things.

The camera idea sounds great now, but you must consider the reasoning for needing this. You are thinking about perhaps some legal needs with the current thought process. Where your idea falls flat is if this is an event where electrical grids and devices fail. Where will you develop digital images... or film for that matter? Also, the current legal system will crash and most will not give a damn about evidence.

Pretty much weed, food, and water. I dont get bored, i can just watch the sky and better too, so ill just be living the life. No worrys and smoking.

If I had 24 hour notice, depending upon the nature of the SHTF scenario I would probably just scoop up my family and head out to my bug out location and get set up. If I was going to be staying at home, I would spend it fortifying my homes' defenses, starting my massive sprout growing project in my house and purifying well water. I would probably have one more good meal with my family, consisting of everything that was going to go bad and making sure my son could dissemble, clean and operate all of my guns. I think the 24 hour warning tends to become "what would I loot" and I am pretty much fully opposed to that, barring my son or wife starving of course, then all options are on the table even though I would blame myself for lack of preparation.

probably fill up the gas, both gasoline and propane, and spend whatever $ handy on food.
I think I'd visit some family too.
and batteries. can never have too many batteries.

If you mean the media or govt, giving you twent-four hour warning , its possible if they are already sealed in their bunkers and feel sorry for us?

Some last day things to adquire? bulldozer would be handy , depending on the S HTF a temp shelter could be needed . I think its not last day thing is to know your area , scout it out, forget the supermarkets and Walmart thats where the cops will spend their last day trying at first to protect the ptb then getting as much as they can carry.
Railroad yards, trucking companies , So a large forktruck would be handy to pile up rail, sea cargo cars and the bury them with your bulldozer for a later if there is one.

one good thing considering if you have to transport all you have, isnt most of what we think of as modern life an extra? as in exxcess weight. ?

Well, floods and hurricanes can be predicted a day in advance. But those are just localized disasters.

And wars are often fought with ultimatums of a day. Like we saw during the cuba crisis.
Or with an enemy army expected to arrive tomorrow.

So I would say a 24 notice is not that far fetched.

In reading all these "survival" posts Im reminded of what its like...when the party is over. Most people are content to just go home. Some go home early, while other hang out like straglers even when theres no food, drink or other people, picking at or sifting through the remains, still looking for someone to hang out with....

Regardless of whether you've been the host or the guest...when the party is over, its over.

The best thing when this scenario happen would be, survival training, a lot of videos and tutorials about survival tactics that would help you manage your fear, manage the way you will not panic and think straight to the situation.
