This is quite fascinating because it provides observable evidence towards abiogenesis. I'm excited to see the results of the Huygens landing.

aside from all of the religion, who or whatever created the planets and their moons for us to see them in such beautiful light, I thank them.
Absolute Beauty. Titan in false color.
No matter what anyone believes, religious or not, there is no denying the beauty of it all.

Does that link mention a possible lake (Liquid methane and ethane)(very cold ;) shaped like a cat?
Si Si the cat is the name that has been given to the cat shaped surface object, its naming came about when a scientists daughter noticed the resemblance of the shape to a Halloween CatNasik is the most awesome member on AO!!!!

I think that's his purpose - he's mimicking Ben Stein. He wants more talk.

Ah. OK...
Well, IMO (but that's it..) Titan may have chemical compounds in its atmosphere that are needed as the building blocks for life, but the hostility of the environment in terms of pressure and temperature is far greater than any place where we would expect to find a form of life. I'm not saying life is impossible on Titan, it's just not very probable... I'm still inclined to put more of my money on Europa than on Titan for that matter.- If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your parents, your teacher, your priest or some guy on TV telling you how to do your shit, then YOU DESERVE IT. Education...Education...Education...
I would have to agree that the mission to Europa and the hope of finding a vast ocean beneath that big freeze can't come soon enough and we all know that life in our oceans has survived under very hostile conditions but as far as Titan is concerned I think that we do not necessarily understand all the parameters for life in the universe, we may get a surprise and open up some new avenues. I often feel that scientists have tunnel vision until their hit with something right between the eyes. It's only natural.

yes, i too can't wait for the mission to Europa, anyone tell me the date or the planned probe? I forgot :dunce:
Would be amazing to find life somewhere apart from here on earth, be even better if there were alien fish, just depends how far the creatures have evolved, if they are there, but even microscopic organisms would be great for me and many people world wide, possibly exciting times ahed
