a little help
Bought a new lap top thats running Windows 7..... the problem is when typing, the margin line suddenly hops between another already typed word and continues with the word you are currently typing.... pain in the ass. I never had this problem with XP.
So, two questions. Is this solely windows 7 or some other issue. I checked with a scan, but didn't find any virus or Trojan. Anybody else experienced this?
when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature

Make sure you dont have the insert key pressed? Its a toggle and has messed me up in the past. A shot in the dark but worth trying anyway.

Your thumbs or palms are probably tapping the touch pad while you type... Its a user error, not a software issue. And if you arent comfortable blaming yourself, you can blame whoever designed the laptop.
I aggressively attack stupidity... If you feel I am being aggressive, well....

They dont have to actually touch it, they could just be getting too close. I have the same problem on my laptop.so the palms don't hit the board.I aggressively attack stupidity... If you feel I am being aggressive, well....

Wow. But your right, I dropped the sensitivity ( speed) of the pointer and it seems to work ! I had the touch-pad set at max, so I reset it to minimum,

Awesome.... This thread should be stickied as an example of our better side.Jim Crow America relegated Blacks to the back of buses. Israel wants Arabs excluded from the bus entirely.
