Osama bin Laden now has religious approval to use a nuclear device against Americans, says the former head of the CIA unit charged with tracking down the Saudi terrorist. The former agent, Michael Scheuer, speaks to Steve Kroft in his first television interview without disguise to be broadcast on 60 MINUTES Sunday, Nov. 14 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Hm, interesting article Joe. I never would have surmised that UBL was waiting for Religious clearance. I figured he would just do it when/if he could. This doesn't change my way of thinking, since I thought he could do it at any moment anyway. Such an act would be very selfish on UBL's part cause Muslims would be the ones that suffered the most from such an attack. The Middle East would be decimated but then there would begin another war for the oil fields left behind. Very ugly scenerio.

This is bullshit. Osama and his camp have declared jihad on us. The purpose of this is to strike the unbelievers down, wherever and whenever possible. Theirs no waiting for clearance at this point. As long as what theyre doing doesnt conflict with any particular doctrine, then its by any mean necessary. If OBL was capable, he wouldnt done it long ago.

. . .It seems to 'jibe' so-nicely with another thread we currently have running on the "Forum", that being "An Eye for an Eye", yah know, that manner of thinking. Actually, I was going to (originally) post it in that thread, but I kept it separate for now only to draw attention to this. We can always combine later. Points I had thought about, as well as 1 I picked-up on "http://www.terroristwarning.com/" are these:

1. Osama Bin Laden. IS HE so true to the idea of "An Eye for an Eye" that he has been keeping a running-body count/in that when we reach a certain number of "Muslim dead" that he decides to reciprocate in kind? Does he really believe this, (or) is it just a rationale' that he is comfortable with using as a means to an end?

2. From http://www.terroristwarning.com/ Is there a possibility that there is ALREADY a "nuke" planted here in the U.S., and this may be the very thing that is causing us to fall-short of capturing him? Of course, the site does stress that it does not want to be "alarmist" about it, but I found the idea intriguing.

. . .My thinking to point no. #1 is that YES, Osama is a Muslim Fundi-Extremist; unlike Saddam Hussein I cannot say that I have ever heard tell of "the man" in action as what he IS being any-different than what he THINKS and PREACHES. For Saddam, "Muslim" was just something he wore when there was something to be gained for him and his cause. Saddam could be accused of many things, but one thing he was not, was a "fundi-extremist". Osama may just be the very type who actively seeks religous approval before he acts. Unsettling, to say the least.

. . .As to point no. #2, does he have a "nuke" available that he can utilize? Highly unlikely. Even IF he did, it would probably be a "Dirty Bomb" whereas TRUE Nuclear fission would not be achieved/and this would not insure him his desired results. IF he were to try anything at all, I'm thinking he would go with "Bioterror". This I would bet he would try for his desired outcome, and would be feasible (as a fundi-extremist) and also the mechanism for disaster is more easily acquired. (Reader recall, THIS 'option' is FRIGHTFULLY easy!)

What's next? beware of sneezing towel-heads?

Being stinking rich and having a comfortable lifestyle was not enough for this man. The man is actively seeking hero-worship and the immortality that comes not from religious belief but the notoriety he is creating for himself. I believe he is doing it for his own, personal ends and little else. He is a highly educated man that realises that he can use certain beliefs to gain great power for his own satisfaction. (A bit like Bush and religion during the election without the highly educated bit

).

As for nukes, I've discussed at length the blackmarket and missing quantities of nuclear materials from the old Soviet states on this site previously, including numerous links (mainly in the armageddon forum). The ability is out there somewhere and one day it will happen. Whether that city is in the USA, Europe or wherever remains to be seen...Religious approval is just Osama's way of keeping the less educated of his foot soldiers happy.

World-wide the people are probably much more knowledgeable about who Hitler was than they are about Martin Luther King.
