R.A.T.S = Real above top secret and now you can see what they tried to hide from you, no they won't like this at all.

everyone knows Abovetopsecret was deleting a lot of posts and was over using the moderators to remove comments and now it seems they have be caught out because someone has been taking a copy of all the posts and comments before these moderators had a chance to press delete and this somebody has published a list for all to see.

I myself have been banned three times and just about everyone who is anyone on the forum have been banned for standing ground and not giving in to bullshit rules being applied to justify what is tantamount to censorship and information has been provided that proves the statistics displayed on the site have been doctored upwards.

I was banned from ATS when I told Septic overload that he should not be using ATS as his personal advertising experiment. Turns out one of the main functions of the site ... for him at least, is to use it to try out new internet advertising ideas. For springer I think it is more about the monitoring of potential dissidents.

They love adverts and if you empty the browser cache and just visit the home page and then view the cache you will see six or more cookies

I've run into this a lot on this site as well.

But when you point it out, you get told it's just your machine, not their servers.

Looks like SkepticOverlord edited the title to add "(not a virus)" too me but what does concern me is that ATS uses some advert servers that are not mainstream and kind of makes me feel as if we are being monitored by someone as we view certain pages and all these viruses could be key loggers or something even more sinister

Since I have access to a list of titles from deleted posts on ATS boards I can see why some are deleted for pushing the use of weed and such like but other posts that often have a lot of responses also get deleted for no apparent reason and some very old threads dating back several years also get deleted for some strange reason.

Will ask my contact if he can give me a copy of some off the deleted threads so that I can show you all what I am trying to explain in more detail

I have been spending less and less time on this site. Now that I am seeing so much censorship, like the one on the front page that is a "Restricted Post", I understand why. The motto "Deny Ignorance" obviously doesn't mean anything to the staff, only a few members. It is a bit hard to deny when it runs so rampant. This is my last post on this site. Maybe ATS will have standards one day, but it doesn't seem to be happening right now. Restricted post? This seems to be nothing more than a grab for attention. Posting to complain is bound to get deleted even if you say it nice.

The site is 90% crap now. Once upon a time it was the "go to" site for alternative media. These days its filled with fringe nut jobs preaching racism, new age agenda and flat out rubbish. You've really got to search through threads of interest skipping post after post until you find someone over the age of 16 who actually knows what their talking about. And those posts are few and far between.

When I first came here many years ago I couldn't read enough. I would sit up till the wee hours of the morning full well knowing I'm going to be so tired for work, but just wanted to absorb as much interesting information as possible. These days I find myself skipping more threads than I read, which is a shame. Sifting through the countless posts of complete and utter garbage to find something of merit.

Unfortunately the site seems to have been taken over by mindless garbage. Star children, new age whack jobs, racism, doomsday porn, and teenagers with plenty to say and no substance. Using the internet and sites regularly visited becomes somewhat of a habit after many years, which I imagine many users here are older users who formed the habit of seeing whats on ATS, which is lucky for the site.

Buts is definitely not the ATS I remember. I use to proudly point people to this site for alternative media they wouldn't find in the main stream. Now, I'd be too embarrassed to recommend ATS to anyone for fear of what they'd find here and think I'm actually into the 90% of crap this site hosts.

You would be out in seconds for posting anything like that on ATS but the facts are that half the population has smoked a joint at one stage or another but the moderation on the site, conspriacy site at that is censoring far too many subjects and posts so you have to question who is behind it and what are they up to.
