    Presidential Election 2012

    Presidential Election 2012

Well... there is a lot of time before the election, however, I hate to say it, I fear that Obama will not win. In fact he more than likely won't. Just too much shit to overcome yet again. He's lost a lot of supporters and well, the Republicans are energized. This time it will be closer. It can go either way, but it will be close.

I just wanted to post this. I hope he wins, but I'm afraid he won't.

    That is all...

    Hmmm...

Mitt has the white male, retarded, racist, and top 1% vote.

Obama has the black, hispanic, gay, female, Asian, bottom 99% vote.

The trouble will be in how many come out. There are a lot of Fox Noise viewers(Retarded) who vote in swing states. If the black or Hispanic or us ladies don't come out and vote in enough numbers... or in states like Florida where the GOP is being sued by the DOJ for going through the voter list and going "White name, good. White name, good. N*GGER NAME!! BAN IT!" Oops, turns out the guy was a WWII veteran and not in the least bit illegal but his name wasn't a white name so he was banned from voting.
Or in Wisconsin where they passed ID laws then... Shut down 10 DMVs, all in poor/black/Democrat districts.

I'm afraid that he will. Our economy cannot take another 4 years of Obama. I would vote for practically anyone but Obama in the hopes that my kids will be able to get jobs (in their chosen field) when they graduate from college. The Federal Reserve just released economic indicators and personal savings, income and net worths are down. Not good for Americans.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/busine...CVV_print.html

"The Federal Reserve said the median net worth of families plunged by 39 percent in just three years, from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010. That puts Americans roughly on par with where they were in 1992.

The data represent one of the most detailed looks at how the economic downturn altered the landscape of family finance. Over a span of three years, Americans watched progress that took almost a generation to accumulate evaporate. The promise of retirement built on the inevitable rise of the stock market proved illusory for most. Homeownership, once heralded as a pathway to wealth, became an albatross.

The findings underscore the depth of the wounds of the financial crisis and how far many families remain from healing. If the recession set Americans back 20 years, economists say, the road forward is sure to be a long one. And so far, the country has seen only a halting recovery.

“It’s hard to overstate how serious the collapse in the economy was,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody’s Analytics. “We were in free fall.”

The recession caused the greatest upheaval among the middle class. Only roughly half of middle#-class Americans remained on the same economic rung during the downturn, the Fed found. Their median net worth — the value of assets such as homes, automobiles and stocks minus any debt — suffered the biggest drops. By contrast, the wealthiest families’ median net worth rose slightly.

Americans have tried to re#balance the family budget but have found it difficult to reverse the damage.

The survey showed that fewer families are carrying credit card balances, and those who do have less debt. The median balance dropped 16 percent, from $3,100 in 2007 to $2,600 in 2010. The Fed also found that the percentage of Americans who have no debt rose to a quarter of families.

But that progress was undermined by other factors, leaving the median level of family debt unchanged. The report said more families reported taking out education loans. Nearly 11 percent said they were at least 60 days late paying a bill, up from 7 percent in 2007. And the percentage of families saddled with debts greater than 40 percent of their income stayed the same.

Not only were Americans still facing significant debts, but they were making less money. Median income fell nearly 8 percent, to $45,800, in 2010. The median value of stock-market-based retirement accounts declined 7 percent, to $44,000.

But it was the implosion of the housing market that inflicted much of the pain. The median value of Americans’ stake in their homes fell by 42 percent between 2007 and 2010, to $55,000, according to the Fed.

The poorest families suffered the biggest loss of wealth from the drop in real estate prices. But middle-class Americans rely on housing for a larger part of their net worth. For some, it accounts for just more than half of their assets. That means every step downward is felt more acutely.

Rakesh Kochhar, associate director of research at the Pew Hispanic Center, calls this phenomenon the “reverse wealth effect.” As consumers watched the value of their homes rise during the boom, they felt more confident spending money, even if they did not actually cash in on the gains. Now, the moribund housing market has made many Americans wary of spending, even if their losses are just on paper.

According to the Fed survey, that paper wealth — or what is officially called unrealized capital gains — shrank 11 percentage points, to about a quarter of Americans’ assets.

The findings track research Kochhar released last year that showed a dramatic drop in household wealth during the recession, particularly among minorities. That study found record-high disparities between whites’ wealth and that of blacks and Hispanics.

“It was turning the clock back quite a bit,” Kochhar said.

The Fed’s survey is conducted every three years. Although there have been some signs that the recovery has picked up — housing prices have begun to stabilize and unemployment has fallen — Fed economists said those improvements largely do not change the survey results.

“Recovery from the so-called Great Recession has also been particularly slow,” the report said."

The President just isn't a leader. We'd all see it if he was, and we'd be arguing over legislative-policies that he actually created himself. For example, he didn't craft TARP2 or the Stimulus-plan. He didn't add any personal touches to Obamacare. He just 'approves' things. Bush-41 was basically the same way.

The candidate I was leaning toward, Herman Cain, had the stones to create his own economic namesake: The 999 Plan. He defended it openly, usually successfully. Leaders screw-up sometimes, but they don't waste time blaming predecessors.

When Obama signed his first 'act', the closing of Gitmo, he turned-to his followers and staff after the reporters had left the room, and asked: ' Okay, what's the plan for closing it? '

A mandate-elected leader would've already had his own plan.

I don't care for Romney, but I suspect he won't spend 4 years blaming the current Administration, who has essentially set a whole new time-length standard for blaming and tantrumming.

Will Obama win? -Too soon to tell.

Your insights into this are worthless Reef. It wouldnt have mattered WHAT had happened in the last four years, your post would be exactly the same... And herman cain stole his "plan" from SIM FUCKING CITY!!!!

Republicans have been obstructionists for Obama's first run in the office... No matter what the cause or the plan or the outcome, if Obama was for it, they did everything they could to break or stop it... Even if it was something they completely agree with... Even if their actions were detrimental to the country... You all are a bunch of selfish, ignorant cunts and jesus isnt EVER going to come save you or this country... I hope you will be happy to watch your family eat dirt.

tsk tsk tsk... In your mind, you've already decided your team is gonna lose. So you're being a sore loser ahead of time. -Hear that, everybody? The Dems had a veto-proof Congress from 08 to 10, but the Repubs were 'obstructionists'. Let the tantrums continue...

You're making my point. No matter where the 999-plan came from, Cain put his name on it. -Like a leader. Obama's too wimpy to submit his own plan for anything.

You guys were way happier with the opposition in the White House, so you could come-on-here and barb and snip and rip and snipe and throw sandbox-toys around at-leisure. It's no fun constantly defending the White House, is it?

Oh-oh... sounds like I secretly want Oslam-ma to win. It is fun snipping 'n sniping. On second thought, boot the moronic amateur outta there...

I can just imagine your rage if the dems were like the republicans and worked in lock step. Lucky for us they are not like that.

LMFAO he didnt make that shit up... would you be happy if I became pesident and ran the economy like this was a civ 4 game?

Actually I have noted that the conservative response to Obama makes the old liberal hatred of Bush look like amateur hour. I also notice that some liberals are very happy to criticize the current president and even openly discuss voting for other candidates..... I never hear you criticize anything Romney does or says...... lock step? Yeah that would describe you pretty well.

No just like me you will probably vote out of fear of the other guy... I really want to vote third party but I cant see good things happening under Romney... Still it wont matter I can drink Pepsi for 4 years if I cant have coke.....

Of course the Republicans don't remember but... They wrote a bill, supported it, then Obama came out and supported it. What did the GOP do? VOTED AGAINST IT. IT WAS A GOP BILL, WRITTEN BY THEM, AND EVEN THE ONES WHO WROTE IT VOTED AGAINST IT AS SOON AS OBAMA SUPPORTED IT!

Also Jena, list 5 things Obama did that hurt the economy. And you can't list things that didn't happen because the GOP blocked it in the Senate/House. It must be 5 things Obama and the Dems got passed and signed in to law. I, and every other person with an IQ over 100 will be waiting...(You can't use Fox or that racist website Keil and you supported over in the Atlanta thread)

Also, CAIN STOLE it from a video game. Yeah, real leadership... What's next? "Well in Diablo Three I would cast a firebolt. So can we do that against Iran?"

And unlike the Hive Mind of the GOP, Democrats have more than one thought. They aren't lockstep sheep like the GOP are. One Republican comes out saying Obama is a secret n*gger Muslim from Kenya, ALL Republicans, even those long dead, come out and say it. Ghosts come out and scream about it. Rush Limbaugh says some thing, all Republicans say it. Fox says a talking point, suddenly ALL Republicans are saying it.

Also, people who watch Fox and vote Republican are always proven to be idiots by every study ever done. So what does that say about Reef, Jena, so forth?

Id like to see some conservatives make a point by point post that tells me exactly why I should vote for Willard over Hussein. Please source your points where possible/needed and at least try to pick neutral or at least only mildly partisan leaning sources.

I will also open it up to those who want to convince people to vote for Ron Paul. Just the policy positions please we don't need to discuss the wasted vote argument that always comes up over third party candidates.

So folks lets see what you got!!!!!!!

Aww I was hoping to see you shill for Paul!!! I think you have much more ammo for him then Mitt.... Just my opinion of course I already like Paul more then Mitt and in someways more then Obama even (really I do lol). I have my doubts about all the offerings this time around.

Quote Originally Posted by JenaS62 View Post

Well now Obama has had the job for 4 years and that counts for experience as well. Plus I don't necessarily think because someone has run a business means they can run a country. It doesn't hurt but overall the picture is much much bigger then just business. Plus business people usually have very poor records on the environment which is one of my top issues. I guess I don't see giving the corporate sector everything they want as neccessarily being good for the American economy... Oh its very good for the corporate economy dont get me wrong but those organizations are now international and many obviously dont have much loyalty to the United States which you can tell by things like outsourcing jobs to China, and way overcharging American consumers for drugs.
He knows about budgets and job creation.
Job creation in China does not help our economy... we need job creation here and we are bleeding jobs to the third world and its all the corporate sector that is doing that.

Since the economy and jobs are my number one and two concerns over everything else - he will get my vote.
Those are high on my list but I suspect we arent talking about the same jobs? I want to see jobs in green energy as a major push. America could be the world leader in alternative energy technology but that also is out sourced to China and elsewhere.

Obviously lowering Tax's on the rich has not created a boom in America... those tax cuts were enacted like 10 years ago yet we are struggling.

Really Job creation starts at the bottom not the top. It starts with demand and then someone filling that demand. Sure that takes investment but the top dogs aren't the only people with money to invest and some opportunities start very small with local people working together.

I wish Ron Paul could be the nominee. But he's not so I will be voting for the candidate that I actually believe can and wants to fix things.
They both can and want to fix things... a certain way that the other side will disagree with

Honestly I dont have confidence in either of them.

As a libertarian, I would take Ron Paul any day over Mitt. I don't agree with Mitt on several things. But I agree with even less with Obama.

And yes Obama has run this country for almost 4 years. I've seen nothing spectacular. In fact, I've seen paralysis, indecision and divisiveness. He's not a leader. Never was. Never will be.

    I don't understand.

What about Mitt makes him better than Obama?

Conservatives say Obama is bankrupting the country and not making jobs. If Mitt ran the U.S. like he ran Massachusetts, the debt would triple. And how does outsourcing a job to another country help unemployment? His financing company (Bain Capital) financed companies to send American jobs to India and China.

Yes, outsourcing jobs can lower the cost of products for the consumer. But it is not how you address unemployment.

And yes Obama has run this country for almost 4 years. I've seen nothing spectacular. In fact, I've seen paralysis, indecision and divisiveness.
Assuming that is true, then in what way is that different from Romney?

Honestly, why are you voting for Romney? Because he's a Republican? Why not forget about parties for a moment and just do the lesser of two evils.
Obama is verifiably the lesser of two evils.

You don't have to agree, but it is true nonetheless. And if you want to vote for Romney anyway and see this country mismanaged, then that is your choice.
But I urge you to put the U.S. first...

Here are some point by point for Obama...

When handed the worst economy EVER(Even worse than what FDR got during the GP) He stimulated the economy, saved the auto industry(1 out of 10 jobs in America are auto or auto related) boosted car sales, and kept it from getting as bad as all the "experts" said it would.
Tried to pass tax payer healthcare, like ALL civilized nations have. Which would reduce health costs astronomically. Thankfully he did get the no more pre existing through but the GOP blocked every thing else.
Liberated several nations in the ME and Africa with 0 American troop deaths.
Ended Iraq by the time table set before him.
    Got OBL.
Has deported more illegals in 3 years than Bush did in 8.
0 Major attacks on American soil.
Has taken about a third of the vacation time.
Has cut spending after the last president out spent every president before him combined.
Has repaired and built more roads and bridges in 3 years than Bush did(Part of his stimulus)
After overseeing the greatest economic downturn in history left to him by the previous president has seen growth in almost every month since.

Sadly any more he wanted to do have been blocked by the GOP no matter what it was.

Did he get the big bad terrorists? Did he lead the way with a controversial health care reform bill? Can you be openly gay in the military? Is he not investing in greener energy solutions? You are seeing exactly what you want to see... which isnt related to reality...

I'm not worried about terrorists. We are told what our government wants us to believe. If we were THAT worried about terrorist - we would secure our borders which leads me to believe that our government is not that worried about terrorist so therefore I should not worry about them either. What a great accomplishment! NOT.

Yes. He infringes on our constitutional rights by mandating that if you are born, you need to purchase a product from those evil insurance companies. He is forcing millions of people into the arms of those evil insurance companies. He is driving up the cost of premiums for millions of people. What a great accomplishment! NOT.

In principal, yes. In reality, who knows. I have no problem with gays serving in the military. I have no problem with gays marrying but none of this is at the top of my priority list.

How many billions of dollars were lost because of his poor investments in greener energy solutions? Tax payer money wasted. What a great accomplishment! NOT.

Maybe. But we are getting no where quickly with King Obama. I'd like to let someone else give it a shot. Mitt was not my choice but it's all we got.

I think making it easier and cheaper to do business in this country and therefore making easier to create jobs will help out my kids. Nothing that is happening now under Obama is going to help my kids. 40% of college graduates are unemployed. Not much of an Obama accomplishment there either.

IF the elections were not farces then maybe you would have a reason to be worried blu-ray... But they are farces and Obama is gonna win again. So worry not.

Although... You do know obama murders people every day right? and that your tax money helps him accomplish that murder right? Kill lists... A new list every day. Men, women, children. 16 year old boys and 17 year old girls on a death list that president obama personally oversees. It doesn't matter if they are US born or not. Their are no trials. He convicted them of crimes worthy of death. Then our military used our tax money to kill them.

Bush started this shit, Obama has embraced it with way too much zeal and the next president in 2016 will probably have a transportation program set up to kill by camps.

But yeah, that deathlist POS is going to win unless he dies first. I doubt that will happen.
Jim Crow America relegated Blacks to the back of buses. Israel wants Arabs excluded from the bus entirely.

Everyone reading anarchs posts needs to remember that he believes cops are actually TRAINED to beat up women and children... I dont mean he believes they are trained how to defend themselves but actually believes they are trained to beat them up at the slightest opportunity...

It is my perception. Perception is reality.
That philosophical conversation is WAY TOO deep for you at this point in your cognitive development jena... For the time being lets assume that we share an objective reality(this is an assumption you must make if you are to properly function or interact with things you define as "not self")... and in our objective reality, your subjective perception... is wrong.

I think making it easier and cheaper to do business in this country and therefore making easier to create jobs will help out my kids.
If the past DECADE of looser government and lower taxes hasnt PROVEN YOU COMPLETELY WRONG in your own perceived reality, then nothing that happens in our shared objective reality will...

Nothing that is happening now under Obama is going to help my kids.
A move towards socialized healthcare would certainly be helpful for your kids... Selling their futures to the lowest bidder... well, Im sure with your disorder you will be able to find some silver lining.

40% of college graduates are unemployed.
Wow... Exactly 40%... what an amazing coincidence... lol. Got anything to back up that amazing stat? Perhaps a breakdown by degree? Then we can analyze which degrees are useful and which are not so much...?

Actually I got it wrong. It's 53% overall. Of course there are certain degrees that are faring better.

    http://www.theatlantic.com/business/...ed-how/256237/

"About 1.5 million, or 53.6 percent, of bachelor's degree-holders under the age of 25 last year were jobless or underemployed, the highest share in at least 11 years. In 2000, the share was at a low of 41 percent, before the dot-com bust erased job gains for college graduates in the telecommunications and IT fields.

Out of the 1.5 million who languished in the job market, about half were underemployed, an increase from the previous year."

Look at GG. She has not been able to find a job in her field in what, 3 years? That's pretty pathetic. Of course it could just be her personality.

Yes. I forgot to mention this. Just put her on ignore and forget about her. The only time I see her post something is either 1) when someone quotes her post in a reply, or 2) She has started a thread with a title that piques my interest for a brief second. I then click the view post and then regret it. I don't do it often, only twice. I'm going to get to 100% ignoring factor soon. Very very soon. I'm right now at 98.99999999%. I can only make it to 100% if everyone puts her on ignore or doesn't quote the lying sack of ***** ********** that she is.

^^^ Quoted for factually true statements.^^^

I really think it's her personality and expecting the government to give her a hand out. She expects everything to be given to her and that she doesn't have to WORK for it.
