John Cena, WWE star, grants a record 300th request for Make-A-Wish
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/john-ce...tling-wwe.html
Damn! 300? And aiming for 1000? Awesome! There are always plenty of candidates for top sports celebrity bad guy: LeBron, Tiger, T.O., Roger Clemens, and on and on.
But what about top sports good guy? Those names don't come to mind quite as easily. Even beloved athletes such as Tim Tebow and Derek Jeter have detractors.
But by one important measure, there is a runaway favorite.
John Cena.
Pro wrestler John Cena granted his 300th Make-A-Wish request to a 7-year-old boy.The pro wrestling superstar granted his 300th Make-A-Wish request to a 7-year-old Pennsylvania boy named Jonny Littman earlier this week. That's far and away tops among sports celebrities.

WWE a sport? NOT! Nice gesture by the "actor" John Cena. If it brightens some dying kids day I'm all for it..... But calling Wrasling a sport is an insult to "real" sports.

The "actors" are better athletes than any baseball players... WWE is a bunch of highly trained athletes doing a series of choreographed moves... so its at least as much a sport as gymnastics or dancing...

Yeah I wanna see you do a swan dive off a ladder on to a person through a table and get back up. I wanna see you lift an over 400lbs man on to your shoulders and toss him around. I wanna see you go 300+ days out of the year doing that and then say if they aren't athletes.
You do know many of them are college wrestlers, football players, some even went to the Olympics or the Military Olympics.
And unlike Baseball they don't get 10million dollar bonuses and break home run records if caught doing steroids. They are actually punished! Unlike 90% of Baseball player for the past 20+ years.

Yes they are. Why do you think Carlito and Jeff Hardy no longer wrestle in the WWE?
1st strike 30 day suspension
2nd strike mandatory rehab(Paid for by WWE) if refuse to go to rehab fired
3rd strike fired

? Not the story lines. The actual physical stuff yes because it is. They haven't secretly invented anti gravity tech so when some one goes off the top of the cage and through a table they are doing it.

I know right? I couldn't even do a swan dive in to a pool let alone off the top of a ladder, through a table, and get back up like it was nothing. Amazing they don't get hurt more often. But that's why they train.

They do get hurt often.... Its probably one of the more dangerous acting jobs you can get... much more dangerous then any "real" sports even boxing or MMA. Getting hurt is also the main reason many of them have drug problems... I still refuse to call it a fucking sport though... unless I happen to be talking to the undertaker or something

IDK. Is it any less of a sport than boxing? The last big fight was decided by judges who every one and their mother claim rigged it for Las Vegas. Yes the winner/loser is decided ahead of time because of the story but hell even the cruiserweight guys are fucking amazing with what they do. Also they're so ripped and muscles and mmmmm... I may be a little biased for some reason ror.

Yes because at most levels a boxing match is decided in the ring by who is the better fighter.
I wouldn't be surprised but then I think a few football games seem fixed at times too. Most of the contests are actually fair tests of skill and wherewithal. The last big fight was decided by judges who every one and their mother claim rigged it for Las Vegas.
The fact that its pre decided at all makes it a live action fight play in my opinion. Not a contest in anyway. they used to act like it was real but at least they dont try to do that anymore.Yes the winner/loser is decided ahead of time
Sure they are very talented stuntmen and women.because of the story but hell even the cruiserweight guys are fucking amazing with what they do.
Certainly a good looking bunch... I can think of a few female wrestlers Id like to go a few rounds with myself. Also they're so ripped and muscles and mmmmm... I may be a little biased for some reason ror.Be Impeccable with Your Word
