Boy. 4. crushed by tombstone at cemetery: God allows such absurd accidents like this?
http://news.yahoo.com/boy-4-dies-tom...005642460.html
I could have posted this in current events, but in light of the belief that the universe has Divine Direction, and that every single person has a soul and choices to make in their life to determine their eternal fate, and those of others, and the belief that there is a Divine Plan for every life, how in God's name (pun intended) do such absurd accidents like this conform to God's plan?
Basically, this kid was out with his family, his dad was a photographer who was taking pics of children. The children were not smiling, so the little boy thought he would help his dad by pretending to be a leprechaun and making them laugh. He starts doing this and then, OUT OF NOWHERE, and ancient tombstone topples over and crushes him.
WTF, God, WTF?
There is no rhyme or reason for something like this. Exactly what in the Divine Plan calls for incidents like this? Or is this universe simply governed by natural laws, rather than Divine laws, and the metal inside the tombstone was simply old and worn down, and the stone fell due to chance?"I was put on trial twice near Y2K for acting like Jesus and claiming to be the Messiah. Its not everyday that a man parks a Chariot of Fire in front of a tomb and stands against the US government with a bow and razor tipped arrows over his shoulder. I wore a suit of armor and was protected by an invisible bubble and my sharp tongue was more than the judicial system could handle."Jake

For most, the best acceptane of such a tragic death is to call it "Gods will" so they can move on past the grief. I suppose, its a good excuse as any to overcome the anger.
One has to wonder if this scenario is really any different - 9 cars are speeding on the highway at the same time. Only one car gets pulled over..is this opportunity, chance, fate, as to which one gets caught?
Me dosent believe such things have anything to do with Divinity.Galadriel: "I amar prestar aen. Han mathon ne nen. Han mathon ne chae. A han noston ne 'wilith. "Translation: "The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air."

I suppose that it really does depend on your belief system. People can and do exact revenge and vengeance on other people's families, children included, for real and/or imaginary reasons. In mundane ways, all the time.
If you believe in the power of focused energy and manipulation, these sorts of intentions can be exacted that way as well. For instance, some religious groups use variations of magic, such as bindings (and similar, equal to "curses"), to punish people not of their particular faith or belief. They justify it by accusing and condemning the "others" as being demons or followers of Satan.
If you believe in this system of the control of spiritual energy and manipulation, it's clear that such actions can be aimed at people and their families, who may or not subscribe to a particular world view, or religious persuasion, as just one example of this kind of hostile action that could indeed cause harm to innocents.
Free will and all that.

Perhaps he was the next Hitler. And god in his wisdom just prevented a nuclear holocaust.

It's well known that the Nazis utilized occult and psychic energies in WWII. Churchill also had his own team of psychics and energy-workers, some claim, known as "The Watch", who are said to have engaged in psychic energy combat for the Allies during the war. Some say that this is the main, albeit hidden, reason, that Hitler lost the war.
Perhaps. Perhaps not.
It does seem that World powers have given credence to such ideas. The Nazis certainly seem to have gained a tremendous amount of power from such endeavors.
Just some random thoughts.

The boy was hanging onto a tombstone over 100 years old that was held in place by a rusted metal strap that finally broke. Old things brake, wrong place bad time.
Even Jesus pointed out that bad things happen, in the above case the tower was probably badly constructed and fell as a result. The people hurt were just in the wrong place at a bad time.Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?Blessings in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ who came in the flesh and now sits at the right hand of our God on high.
A confession of faith that the modern Evangelical movement can no longer make!

Jul 9th, 2012 4:49 PM #8Jesus was perhaps illustrating the reality of conspiracy theory. As one modern example, the events of 9-11. An enormous contingent of believers suggest that the towers were rigged to explode and destroy hundreds (under the phony cover of a fake reason for the occurrence)....for whatever nefarious purposes.Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
Did everyone who died in 9-11 deserve to die? Did that have to happen? Is it true that the "crazed" religious culprits really left an abandoned car at the scene, with their open holy books so obviously apparent in the front seat of their vehicles? Really?
Conspiracy. Not always just random events, as appearances would suggest. Right?
Maybe Jesus was well aware of this. And those whom the tower in Siloam killed really were innocent, whose deaths were the result of a hostile act (hidden, unseen, unexpected and undetected).

There is no law anywhere that say people will be given a long life and will be protected from danger until they reach a certain age.
If people have the misconception that God is there to protect people and grant wishes then a child's death as this one will cause one to disbelieve in that god. Of course that God never existed, it was a construct of what people wanted God to be. Now if people want God to be this and they find out that God is not this then they reject the concept of God because the only god they want to exist is the god that will protect them from harm and grant them their wishes. Now if that god does not exists they will reject any other god put before them.
You post points to this problem. You want a god that protects little kids and does not let children die and because that god does not exist you proclaim there is no God.
But you're wrong.

It however does prove that a good god, which deserves praise and worship does not exist.

In some spiritual traditions, our earth incarnation is a very rare and great opportunity. That allows us to develop our souls and spirits to a very great degree, through the privilege of physical/material and sensory existence.
Being all connected, every action we enact, is done also to ourselves. To achieve spiritual mastery and understanding is the goal. Great suffering is indeed very unnecessary. We ourselves cause this, not God. When we find that we can be the vehicle through which others' suffering diminishes, in any great myriad of ways, is when we embark upon this path of spiritual attunement.
Upon the completion of achieving the discovery of our spiritual selves and abilities, we will then be ready for more advanced dimensional and spiritual incarnations and excursions. But the earth plan, is to enact these discoveries of our own free will -- it's all related to the blossoming of amazing-ness that we find, through our own desire and actions, of our heart spirit.
People with advanced spiritual abilities incarnate, at will, in the form of Bodhisattvas, to assist others in this discovery and path -- in one form of this kind of understanding.
Just a different perspective.

It does nothing of the sort, the problem is people have placed a higher value on themselves than they should. Or do you think that a mouse will think that there is no God because a God would never create something as evil as a cat, or do you think a cat would think that there could never be a God because no God would create something as horrendous as a Dog. The natural orders have balances in place for a reason and nature cycles through itself to maintain its vitality.
Hundreds of children die everyday but consider this, are you also going to claim there cannot be a loving God because a loving God would not allow so many babies to die through abortions as we see now in the name of freedom!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you want God to do, come down and smite all those woman that do this????????????Blessings in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ who came in the flesh and now sits at the right hand of our God on high.
A confession of faith that the modern Evangelical movement can no longer make!

I had to go up against great opposition not to have an abortion when I bore my son. No one, besides me, wanted him. In every experience that I have had in this life, people I've known, etc -- it is always someone else, in the case of abortion, who demands it...the families, husbands, boyfriends....et al. With the mothers suffering the most anguish for usually caving under such pressure. Everybody wants to take control AWAY from mothers, in our society...from taking their unborn children, to stripping the mothers from their care-giving prerogative, by the pressure of taking their babes away from almost the time of new-born, and stuffing them in day-care facilities, etc.....that occurs for the remainder of their life. So that mothers, from almost birth, never have much contact at all with their own children.
Even my ex-husband, when he threatens to take my son away from me, through legal or illegal means. I ask him why, he doesn't want to spend time taking care of him anyway. His answer? Yeah, but so what...he'll hire caretakers (because he has the money. And that is the.most.important.thing.)
It's not simply mothers/women who wish to foster abortion...it's pure misogyny. (And racism, as a form of genocide, but that's another topic.)
To blame the "woman" for this is misogynistic, hateful and more damaging to your cause than you can possibly EVER imagine.
If God cares.....which your words make it appear that he couldn't care less....then he is incredibly ignorant and evil, to express such things through this sort of hate-filled misogyny.

I take one lousy day off to watch the Detroit Tigers and look what happens! I can't turn my back on you jack-asses for one minute can I? Stay out of the me-damned cemetaries and keep a watchful eye on the 4 year olds. It's not my fault!
Sincerly yours,
