Why Are So Many Bad Things Happening To America?

Have you ever wondered why things have been going so badly for the United States in recent years? Our economy is falling apart, we have been plagued with heat, drought and endless natural disasters, our cities are absolutely crumbling, we just keep getting involved in even more wars and Americans are more anxious and more overweight than ever before. So why are so many bad things happening to America? Why do we lead the world in so many bad categories? Why does nothing seem to be going right? Are we under some kind of a curse? It is almost as if we have entered a "perfect storm" that just keeps getting worse. In the old days it would seem like something bad would happen to the United States every once in a while, but now massive problems seem to be hitting us in rapid fire fashion. At this point, many Americans have "crisis fatigue" because our problems never seem to end. Each new crisis just seems to overlap with all of the other problems that are still going on. So why is this happening, and what is our country going to look like if our problems continue to multiply at this rate?

The following are some of the bad things that are happening to America right now....

Heat And Drought

This summer, thousands of new high temperature records have been set all over the country, and weather conditions are much drier than normal in most of the nation.

In fact, the drought that we are experiencing right now is being called the worst drought in more than 50 years. More than 1,000 counties in the United States have already been declared to be official disaster areas, and there is no end to the drought in sight.

All over America this drought is killing the corn and this is causing the price of corn to soar. The following is from a recent Financial Post article....

Chicago Board of Trade corn for December delivery has soared 54% since mid-June, reaching a contract high of US$7.78 on Monday and approaching its record price near US$8.

Soybeans for November delivery soared to a new contract high of US$15.97 before slipping back a few cents.

Crop watchers were alarmed that corn rated poor-to-very poor jumped to 38%, versus 30% last week and 11% a year ago.
The record high for the price of corn is just $7.99 a bushel. Many believe that the price of corn will soon blow well past that price and could eventually reach $10 a bushel.

Unfortunately, there is not much hope on the horizon. It is being projected that these very hot and very dry conditions will persist well into August.

Wildfires

The extreme heat has also been responsible for an unusual number of wildfires in the western United States this year. The recent horrific wildfires in Colorado made headlines all over the nation.

Sadly, these wildfires are part of a rising trend. The truth is that the 6 worst years for wildfires in the United States ever recorded have all happened since the year 2000.

So what is causing this to happen?

This is a recent deity that dates back only to the days of ancient Greek legends. However the list of other deities that he was supposed to be the Father of is rather long and impressive. All of which inherited his traits as trickster and thieves etc. The first thing he did after he was born was steal his brothers cattle.

Wildfires are good for the forrest and are long overdue. The grainbelts are moving north because of something that doesn't exist...manmade global warming and the crops are failing because of industrial monoculture farming practices. This is excellant news! Perhaps now the markets will see the obvious advantages of smaller more diverse farms. Sometimes, bad things can be good news, try to take a larger view.

Bad things are happening all over the world. Let's talk about Syria. Europe is on the verge of economic collapse. Mexico is ruled by drug cartels that decapitate 70 people at random in the streets. China is about to deplete all of its freshwater. Though I guess that's happening everywhere. The U.S. is faring better than many, actually, considering how shitty the world is and how humans are draining all of the resources and over-populating the globe to epic proportions... And climate change being right on the horizon. The wildfires were bad this year, but they happen every year, especially dry years like this one. They could have been much worse. Anyone here in the West knows that.

Maybe some people are hyping up anything bad that happens in the U.S. because they get a sick pleasure in yearning to see a powerful country go downhill, so they clutch onto anything.

Also, we don't let them all thin their own herds out like SYRIA is doing now. A lot more of them would be gone now if we just would tend to our own instead of tending to everyone else's business. There are too many of them around now hungry with all of that HATE.

And how can you see the difference between a sin and gods holy work. Or the difference between a blessing and satans trying to confuse people by rewarding bad.

What America has become – a land of the double standard?

“What Has America Become” was the title of a “letter to the editor” written a year ago by Ken Huber who lives in Michigan. It contained a series of comparisons and contrasts displaying the double-standards under which we now live in America.

Ken Huber could no longer see the America of his youth reflected in anything that is presented to the public. From his and many American’s observations, an ominous change has overtaken the country. Today, the double standards in America are apparent for all to observe.

Many versions of the letter have transversed the country over the past year, with many additions to the original letter having been made. So, those comparisons consistent with this blog’s philosophy have been chosen from the many available and a couple of my own have been added.

Additional observations may be added by readers to those presented here.

If we lie to the Congress, it’s a felony but if the Congress lies to us its simply politics;

The government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims of those criminals;

Soon in California public schools, you may teach that different sexual preferences are ok, but you had better not use the word God in the process;

You can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a convicted mass murder found guilty by a jury of his peers;

The United States is unable to close our borders with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea to prevent an invasion from the North and along other borders around the world;

You can have sexual content on TV or the internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas;

We can use a human fetus or embryo for medical research, but are enraged if an animal is used for the same purpose;

President tells us there is no money for Social Security Checks the day after August 2, 2011, if the debt ceiling is not raised, but the Trust Fund is viable until 2037, isn’t it?

The government takes money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who don’t want to work and are able bodied;

Educators who believe in Academic freedom in the choosing textbooks, see nothing wrong with editing the language of classic books to politically correct verbage;

Politicians attend town hall meetings to promote legislation that they didn’t write or even bother to read – Obamacare, for example;

The president promises transparency, and then appoints over 30 czars to run branches of the government, which are not subject to the scrutiny of congressional review;

Protests against any liberal organization or individual are immediately labeled as anti-American. That same type of protest against a conservative is the individual’s right to free expression.

What has happened to the “land of the free and the home of the brave?” In many American’s minds these words remain only as the lyrics to a cherished old song.

This is true and real. You always start a political bullshit piece with a little truth.

The government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims of those criminals;

Government doesn't spend a nickle on rehab, that's just absurd.

Soon in California public schools, you may teach that different sexual preferences are ok, but you had better not use the word God in the process;

God has nothing to with math, science, language or history. God is rightfully excluded from the curriculum.

You can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a convicted mass murder found guilty by a jury of his peers;

There is no such thing as an unborn child. Children, by definition... are BORN. There arent 12 people in congress smart enough to make life or death decisions, I wouldn't trust the neighborhood guys either.

The United States is unable to close our borders with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea to prevent an invasion from the North and along other borders around the world;

Nobody really wants to, love that cheap labor.

You can have sexual content on TV or the internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas;

Every town in America has plenty churches.

We can use a human fetus or embryo for medical research, but are enraged if an animal is used for the same purpose;

I admit this is psychotic, but the animal are alive, the embryo's are not. Where are the "life is precious" people when you need them?

President tells us there is no money for Social Security Checks the day after August 2, 2011, if the debt ceiling is not raised, but the Trust Fund is viable until 2037, isn’t it?

It's all a faith based inititive...our economy that is.

Yup we progressed from bomb shelters in the back yard to creating faceless enemies in the desert, and at least we have the good graces of keeping all the conflicts in somebody else's country. Bad things happen to America because Americans have only been taught how to do bad things and that goes for the whole wicked world. This is what I am trying to teach you is that your system cannot work, its impossible and yet you keep going down the same road expecting to end up somewhere better which again is IMPOSSIBLE. Your parents and teachers are 180 degrees off the course of what God recommends according to the Bible and yet you trust them even when they have never succeeded in fixing anything. What part of NO money-changers, sellers, soldiers, profiteers, gamblers, lines on maps, dividing of land and false prophets in the Temple of God dont you understand?

The anointing of CHRIST, has been lost upon the man ruled over system called the christian church.

OK...How would you solve the creativity problem your solution would create? Communism/Christianity based systems, or bible based systems has been shown, repeatedly to be a dismal failure. What's different about yours? How do you eliminate greed which is the main source of creativity?

Practicing the fundamentals of the Bible has never been done before and to suggest such a thing will get you mocked, arrested, jailed, beaten, tried and crucified even in this Age which my wake is proof of since that is what the Christians and Jews of the revivied Roman Empire (USA) have done to me. My trials over the past 14 years were as Biblically perfect of what happened to Jesus as you could possibly get but I am a better prosecutor and defender than any of the Ivy league judges and prosecutors who attempted to convict, discredit and silence me. The most critical of all Bible directives is draw no lines on maps and do not divide God's land and for good reasons too long to list which if rejected would mathematically and scientifically lead to the dire situation that mankind is in. No money-changers or sellers in the temple of God is another critical directive which is totally rejected and always has been but again is a cornerstone of what the Bible and Jesus were trying to impress upon. I want everyone working for one employment system that properly pays according to the determined value of the service you provide or job you perform and you can train and apply for any job opening anywhere. I want you to purchase products and services from one system that is standardized so you dont go shopping for deals unless you wish to buy used or reconditioned items. I intend on destroying all the unsustainable buildings and infrastructure and creating a world that is space managed for efficiency, productivity and safety. Mankind's creativity will soar and I will reward for new ideas and performances that benefit mankind. You can be what you call greedy in a way that is honorable by working at whatever job you qualify to do at a standard rate and doing what you want with the earnings you deserve.

I wish I could write more but I have a Lynard Skynard, Stevie Ray Von concert to set up in the am and take down on Sat am and then I am travelling to the DNC in Charolette NC to do that event so I may not be online for a few weeks.

There is nothing Christ like about the Christians or the USA and that goes for everyone else as well just to a lesser degree. I was educated as a Christian so I know the Bible and mankind is nothing like what the Bible describes Christ as being. I can forgive all sins, debts and tresspasses, stop all the wars, eliminate all the waste and make everyone happy ever after and that is a promise that I gaurantee if you stand behind me.
