Ezekiel's wheel
Ezekile described an encounter with something out of this planet. Was it a UFO or a dimensional portal ? Jesus spoke of a door that only He could opne and close. Was Ezikiel's wheel the door Jesus was talking about ?

I consider the "door" to be a metaphor of the heart.

I thaught Christians didn't believe in metaphors.

Maybe he finally overdosed on crack.

Oh course! Jake is the messiah right? That means he can predict the future. What happened is Jake had exactly 99 asparin pills, therefore ending his life.
And this is why he christened himself, Jake99.Poetry is superior to history -Aristotle

Hmmm... well, how can Jesus be the only one who can open or close your heart, when we all have free will ? that's why i think it is a physical door, not a methaphor.

Here is what it says in the beginning of Ezekiel 1.
1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
I'm pretty sure that what takes place after this scripture is part of these visions, including "Ezekiel's Wheel".
I strongly doubt that most christians are "literally terrified of Ezekiel One" as it suggests in the link you provided.

Yes Bob,
Christians beleive in Metaphors, but, not EVERYTHING is a metaphor.
-
Feb 11th, 2006 10:58 PM #11The Torah says otherwise. The Torah says that they don't fully understand the interpretation they go by.

no reason why UFOs and Christianity could not fit together .
Maybe the Return of Christ will look like a UFO Invasion . Why else would armies of this earth fight or try to fight the Returning Christ ? Do they think its a UFO invasion?

I'm not sure I get what you are saying. The Torah says that Christians don't beleive in Metaphor?

the wheel is symbolical to the bible. Galgal meaning "wheel" is 3+30+3+30=66 in gemetria or numerical value of the letters of the word. The bible has 66 books. Join my yahoo group for discussion on this.

Mar 23rd, 2006 12:45 AM #17Well said. Speaking in parables is similar to using metaphors to teach.

could you understand anything spiritual, without the use of metaphor or parable?

Good Question Jeff. Perhaps when the Holy Spirit influences our speech it comes out this way, regardless of our intent. Sort of like a Bible Code in words. I don't believe in the Bible Code, btw, but it's an intriguing idea and argument.
