Re: Christiano Ronaldo
To be honest I'd never heard of him until your lot signed him the other day Mike. For a moment I thought you'd signed the other Ronaldo. Reportedly, he is an excellent player and Sir Alex's judgement is normally spot-on.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo
I hadn't heard of him until we played Sporting in a friendly a couple of weeks ago, and he ripped us to shreds.
From what I've seen of him he can dribble better than Giggs, can cross like Figo and has all the tricks of Ronaldinho. This kid is gonna be good.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo
I think he will be a hit, but not till a couple of years down the line so don't go pinning your hopes on the 'Beckham Replacement' to soon.
Man U were better off getting Diego from Santos and getting the little 14 year old American Freddy Adu (America's footballing prodigy) to nurture for the future.
On another note Man U are lucky that Blackburn have done them a favour for buying Rangers heart in big Amo and Bazza.........But the Gers will still get 6 points

Re: Christiano Ronaldo
Well with Scholes, Kleberson and Solsjaer out he'd better be a hit pretty soon. We're very light in the attacking midfield department.
I'ver heard we're favourites to get Adu, apparently he's tipped to play for the USA senior team soon (not that that's saying much  ).
And Rangers stand no chance, unless Ruud gets injured.

Ronaldo
Another excellent display yesterday. If only he could learn to cross he'd be devastating.

Real Madrid's got a pretty good crosser playing for them they recently signed. Maybe Ronaldo should watch him to learn a few things.

Re: Ronaldo
Yeah, but can he dribble or beat his man as well as Zidane? Imagine if he could cross, he'd be as good as... Figo!

Ronaldo
Does anyone know why the Charlton fans were booing Ronaldo yesterday? Every time he got the ball, there was a nasty booing sound from the stands. What did he ever do to them???
Agree that he is fast and has the moves...but needs maturing on the field.

Re: Ronaldo
I dunno, he was booed by Wolves fans too. I think it's because he's talented and expensive and therefore completely beyond Charlton. I thought most of the tackling on him was rough in the extreme too, probably because he's just a kid.

Re: christiano Ronaldo
Yeah he's a good player, but I think that freekick may have been a pass. Beckham would think twice about shooting from there.

The site of him makes me feel kinda queezy..Like the noxious fumes of B.O. , bad breath, and a gangreen like foot disease..
Seriously, can we kill this thread? It saddens me that instead of viewing the other fine posts on AO, half the people are staring at this pud wankar!
