Is the US headed towards a new "Hitler" type country?
Well might as well just call me the "offender" because I speak my mind and this will probably offend most everyone. Some things that I say aren't meant about everyone but certain "people" that do it.
Slowly but surely over the past few years things have been changing in the US. And it makes me wonder if this country will end turning into something that resembles or IS the next Nazi type country.
First we have the government which is turning it into place where they do what they want and tell you what they will do and won't do. You have tapped lines, cameras everywhere (at some point everywhere), now they can open you mail. Then we have a mix of government and people banning things. Among which are religious things, I am sure I don't have to mention what. Now we have things like Atheists making a push to basically tell people "Religion is wrong, go away and stay away. We are right".
There were some other things but its 6:30 AM and I can't remember the rest.
Anyways, this reminds me of some Nazi things and how they started. Atheism, getting rid of religion, telling people what to do, banning things. All we need is a cruel leader or someone that promises things to good to be true (again?) and we are all set.
Now some people, or most will argue against it, and I am sure on the atheism thing. But people who are part of this movement don't even see it until its to late. You can't say "That’s not true" or "You don't know what your talking about" or even "Nazis were different". Because its already happening and you can't deny fact.
The two biggest factors are the government controlling things and starting to ban things, especially religious things. Which leads too the second one, religion. People are becoming full of hate towards religion. And when the happens you end up with people that want to ban it, then arrest people, then kill people over it. Nazis all over.
The question is how far into this new "Nazi" world do you want to go before its to late? Were supposedly the "best country" in the world, but for how long? Things are headed down a bad path and half the people notice until you bring up they are part of it. I hope it changes.
AO is about one thing. Going around in loops. No one cares to learn, they only care to live inside their boxes and ignore the truth!

I do have noticed how when people insult Muslims, its freedom of speech. But the other way around isn't. And how people are steamed to have an opinion about them as well.

Why can we have Cartoons making fun of Jesus over and over, but if one Cartoon makes fun of Mohummad (sp?) it makes it onto CNN?

Well that is what happens over there. But i was referring to the situation here.
Personally i don't think such cartoons should be in papers or on the news, because they are an form of propaganda.
And News medias must be forbidden to post propaganda, because they need to be completely objective in wars and other situations.

I guess it only makes sense that things vary depending on the Country you are in, eh?
I don't think a cartoon should make headline news either, and it didn't. What made the news was when all the Religious Fanatics starting killing people and destroying shit because of it.
If it's okay to poke fun at one Religion/Culture/Skin Colour..etc it should be okay to poke fun at all of them. Everybody wins.
I agree, Propaganda on the News is bad, but have fun trying to stop that.

Yeah, that's going to be difficult when you have situations like NBC in the US. They are owned by General Electric, who also happen to be one of the biggest contractors to the US military. There's definitely room for a conflict of interests in a situation where the news media's parent company is making huge profits from a war, or in this case, an invasion and occupation.

I doubt you will ever git rid of propaganda in the news sadly.
